South Precinct officers arrest two suspects in street robbery

On October 23rd at 2:15 AM, South Precinct patrol officers responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 6200 block of Beacon Avenue S. Officers contacted two adult male victims who reported that several males confronted them and attempted to rob them. One of the suspects had displayed a revolver. The suspects then fled into a residence in the 6200 block of Beacon Avenue S.

Officers called for back up and surrounded the house. Additional officers responded including a K9 officer and the King County Sheriff’s Office Guardian 1 helicopter. Officers made contact with 10 people inside the house. Two of them were positively identified by the victims, including the one who had displayed the firearm. Both were placed under arrest. The firearm was located and a records check revealed that it had been stolen.

The suspect who displayed the firearm, age 15, was booked into Youth Service Center for Investigation of Robbery and Violation of the Uniformed Firearms Act. His associate, age 18, was booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery.
