West Seattle citizen chases burglary suspects

On November 10th at approximately 1054 hours, an SPD Traffic officer was conducting traffic enforcement in the area of 37th Avenue SW and SW Admiral, when he heard a call from police radio of three suspicious males possibly prowling cars in the area.  Minutes later, the officer observed three males running from a citizen.  The officer took custody of one of the males, who was carrying a stolen jewelry box.  The citizen then observed the other two suspects flee into an open residence in the 2500 block of SW Belvidere.  Officers surrounded the apartment unit and contacted the witness.  The witness reported that the three suspects had just burglarized a house on Prescott and that he had chased them from there.

The remaining suspects initially refused to come out of the apartment on Belvidere, but were eventually taken into custody.  The witness positively identified the three suspects.  All three suspects were processed and booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Burglary.
