Robbery on lower Queen Anne

West Precinct Officers responded to a robbery call in the 200 block of W. Mercer. Upon arrival they learned that at approximately 9:45 PM a person entered the business and ordered some food. The employee began to ring up the customer when he brandished a handgun and demanded money from the cash register. A second employee then walked from the back of the store, causing the suspect to quickly exit the store. The description given by the employee closely matches that of a person wanted in a series of robberies.
Officers processed the scene for usable evidence and contacted the case detective on the pattern robberies.
