On November 19th at about 8 PM, an off-duty officer was working at a department store in the 1400 block of 3rd Avenue.  He called in a report that he had heard approximately 6-8 gunshots in the area.  He believed that the shots wee coming from the 1500 block of 3rd Avenue. At about the same time, an employee from a shoe store in the 1500 block of 3rd Avenue called into 911 to report the same thing.
 
Officers responding to the area did not locate any victims.  An area search did not turn up any shell casings or signs of bullet damage. There were no reports of victims at Harborview Medical Center or any other local hospitals. It appears that there was a large group of juveniles in the area at the time of the incident.  Once the shots were fired, they all fled in different directions on foot.  There were conflicting reports from multiple callers, so it is difficult to determine if the suspect left on foot, or in a vehicle.
