On 1/25/09 at 9:33 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Ward St. to a reported stabbing.
A woman (victim 25 years old) allowed her boy friend (Male-30 years old ) to move in with her. They have been together approx. 6 months. This morning when the victim arrived home from work her boyfriend without warning attacked her. The suspect slashed the victim’s throat and stabbed her. The victim attempted to leave the apartment and made it out into the hallway. The suspect managed to get the victim back inside the apartment. Officers arrived and found the door locked. Officers forced entry and took the victim into the hallway for her safety where she was treated by Seattle Fire Medics. Officers then reentered the apartment and found the suspect.The suspect did not respond to officers commands but did not resist being placed into hand cuffs. The suspect was arrested and transported to the West precinct. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center where she went unconscious several times. At last report the victim was released from surgery and is in ICU. Domestic Violence Detectives responded and processed the scene. The suspect was processed and booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Assault.
