On 9/22/09, at 1030 a.m., the suspect and the victim got into a verbal altercation while inside a business in the 500 block of 3rd Av. For reasons unknown, the 48-year-old suspect pulled a knife and stabbed the 20-year-old victim in the neck.
The Staff immediately provided medical aid to the victim and called for Seattle Fire. The staff also evacuated the common area at which point the suspect fled the scene.
The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious but non- life threatening injuries.
The victim and suspect are clients of the center and are well known by the staff.
