SPD Traffic Unit to conduct crosswalk emphasis operation
The Seattle Police Department’s Traffic Unit will be conducting several crosswalk emphasis operations today. Officers will be contacting motorists at several intersections with marked crosswalks if they fail to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalks. The fine amount is $124.00 for cars and $103.00 for bicycles. These emphasis patrols will occur in the 4100 Block of Stone Avenue North and later on Dexter Avenue around Aloha. Today’s emphasis is one of several SPD has conducted throughout the year.
