Update on Beacon Hill homicides- Person of interest named

On December 22nd at 10:15 am, officers responded to a residence in the 1300 block of South Ferdinand Street for a report of a shooting.  Officers arrived on the scene quickly, entered the residence, and located to deceased victims, a 28 year-old female and a 13-week old baby girl.  The adult female victim was the baby’s biological mother.  Both victims sustained gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene by Seattle Fire Department medics.  The suspect fled the scene and remains at large.

Homicide detectives responded and developed information on an adult person of interest, Daniel Thomas Hicks, a 29-year old light-skinned male.  Hicks is 6′ 4″, 160 lbs., with brown eyes and short hair.  He may be driving a white 2006 Chevrolet pickup truck with a chrome tool box in the bed, displaying Washington license plate number A68135Z.  Do not approach Hicks, as he is considered armed and dangerous.
