On December 22nd, at approximately 10:30 pm, East Precinct officers responded to a shooting call at the corner of 29th Avenue South and South Dearborn Street.  A 21 year-old male and his friends were standing on the corner when a car drove past them and someone inside the car began shooting at the group.  The victim was struck several times in the abdomen and thigh, but they are not life-threating injuries.  The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.  There is little information about the suspect, other than he is described as a black male in a red, smaller car.  Gang Unit detectives also responded and processed the scene.
