On 2/7/09, at approximately 1:00 a.m., an officer was travelling in his marked patrol vehicle south on Rainier approaching S. Juneau when he noticed 2 males standing just west of the roadway on Juneau. One of the males, pointed a handgun at the officer and fired.
The officer pulled around the block and called in other units to assist. Officers stopped 2 males at Rainier and Mead and the (victim) officer positively indentified them. An extensive area search was done to find the gun, casing, and damage, but none was found.
Both suspects were arrested and booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Assault and Investigation of Violation of Uniform Firearms Act.
The officer was not injured.
