Sandwich shop robber arrested

On 2/14/10, at approximately 3:30 p.m., a female suspect entered a business in the 1200 block of Howell St. The suspect walked around the counter to the open door to the employee area.

The suspect grabbed the victim from behind and told her that she had a gun and to give her all of the money in the till. The employee complied and the suspect then exited the store just as the employee’s boyfriend was entering.

The boyfriend gave chase and saw the suspect jump in to a Lincoln Town car in front of the Grayhound station. The boyfriend followed in his vehicle while updating the dispatcher. Officers stopped and arrested the suspect under the Convention Center.

The victim made a positive identification of the suspect. The suspect was booked into King County Jail For Investigation of Robbery. The driver of the Lincoln stated that the unknown female suspect jumped in his car and told him that her sister had just gone into labor and that she needed to “get there quick”.

The driver was investigated and released.
