Seattle Police seek assistance in disappearance of woman

On April 30, 2009, Seattle Police received a report of a missing woman, Ms. Nicole Cearo.  Her family members had not seen or spoken with her since April 2, 2009.  The case was eventually assigned to Homicide detectives in September of 2009 after Ms. Cearo could not be located.  Further investigation indicated that she had not picked up any of her welfare checks from April 2009 through June 2009 when her welfare status was cancelled by the State of Washington.

Subsequent investigation revealed that Ms. Cearo had not utilized any of her financial assistance since March of 2009, and no attempt had been made by Ms. Cearo to re-instate her financial assistance.  Ms. Cearo was last seen with her ex-boyfriend on April 2, 2009.  All due diligence has been made in attempting to locate Ms. Cearo with negative results.

Ms. Cearo is a black female, 21 years old, 5 foot 3 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds.  She has a large tattoo on her upper left arm and was last known to be wearing gold rings on her fingers (see pictures below).

Anyone with information regarding the disappearance of Ms. Cearo or who may have information leading to the identification of witnesses or suspects involved with her disappearance is asked to call the Seattle Police Homicide Unit at (206) 684-5550 or the Seattle Police Homicide Tip Line at (206) 233-5000.  Anonymous tips are also welcome.
