Early morning collision in North Seattle

On November 15th, at approximately 3:00 AM, North Precinct officers responded to a collision at Holman Road NW and North 105th Street.  It appears that a Honda Civic driven by a 25 year old male with a 23 year old male passenger was travelling westbound on North 105th Street at a high rate of speed.  At the intersection of N. 105th, Greenwood Avenue North and Holman Road NW, the vehicle failed to negotiate the left turn onto Holman Road, and collided with a wooden light pole on the traffic island between Holman Road and N. 105th Street, just west of Greenwood.

The Seattle Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the two occupants to Harborview Medical Center.  The passenger sustained several broken bones in his face and a fractured femur.  The driver has a possible broken sternum.  The driver is being evaluated to see if drugs and/or alcohol contributed to this collision.

Traffic Collision Investigation Squad detectives responded to the scene to investigate the collision.  This is still an on-going investigation.
