On 4/9/11, at approximately 3:45 p.m., a driver traveling S/B in the 5500 Block Aurora Av N. suffered an unknown medical emergency. The vehicle crossed the centerline, three lanes of northbound Aurora and impacted the Woodland Park fence. An off-duty officer and citizens began CPR on the unresponsive driver.
Seattle Fire Department arrived and continued CPR. Despite everyone’s efforts, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Traffic control was established and the scene was secured. Traffic Collision Investigators responded and processed he scene. Traffic was impacted for several hours.
