WHAT: The Seattle Police Department Traffic Section and the Washington State Patrol will be conducting a major traffic emphasis patrol to deter aggressive and distracted driving on Aurora Avenue North.
WHEN: The emphasis will begin during the morning commute tomorrow and go past the evening commute. Detective Jeff Kappel will be on scene at North 125th Street & Aurora Avenue North from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to arrange and conduct interviews and ride-alongs. Preview interviews are available upon request before 8:00 p.m. today. Additional interviews can be had tomorrow between 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
WHERE: Media availability will be at the intersection of North 125th Street and Aurora Avenue North.
WHO: Seattle Police Department, Seattle Department of Transportation, Washington Traffic Safety Commission, Washington State Patrol and the Washington State Liquor Control Board are participating and sponsoring this event.
