Suspect wanted in drug robbery arrested

On May 31st, 2011, a female victim met with the suspect and another male in order to sell them cocaine.  The victim got into the suspect’s car to complete the transaction, when the suspect began to choke the victim.  The suspect began searching her for the drugs and the other suspect threatened to kill the victim by producing a large knife.  At that point, the victim handed over the drugs and cash to the suspects before they kicked her out of the car.  The victim reported the crime to police that evening, but, despite an extensive search by officers, the suspects got away.  The victim was able to postively identify one of the suspects who had robbed her.

On June 13th, at approximately 8:00 PM, North Precinct  Anti-Crime Team (ACT) officers located the identified suspect at a motel in the 12000 Block of Aurora Avenue North and arrested him.  He was then transported to police headquarters where Robbery detectives interviewed him.  The 49 year old suspect was later booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery.  Detectives are now looking for the second suspect.
