Special Olympics Northwest Ride of Dreams

2nd Annual Northwest Ride of Dreams Motorcycle and Classic Car Show

Hundreds of Bikers Descend on Ellensburg Supporting Special Olympics Washington

The thunder of motorcycles will echo west from Ocean Shores, east from Pullman and off the Columbia River gorge August 27, as hundreds of bikers from all points of the State of Washington make a trip to Ellensburg, raising money for Special Olympics Washington.

Special Olympics Northwest Ride of Dreams is a statewide fundraising effort organized by local law enforcement agencies throughout the state as part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run Campaign (LETR).

Participants raise $30 for the opportunity to caravan via motorcycle from various starting points in the state, finishing in Ellensburg’s Rotary Park for a celebration of Special Olympics. LETR, through a series of events, annually raises more than $580,000 for Special Olympics Washington.

Rotary Park will feature live music, vendors, a Special Olympics Opening Ceremony, raffles, classic car show and plenty of family-friendly entertainment throughout the day.  All participants also receive a Northwest Ride of Dreams T-shirt and prize bag.

Money raised will directly benefit the mission of Special Olympics Washington, to provide athletes with intellectual disabilities continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympic athletes, and the community.
