On August 31st at approximately 2:00 p.m. Seattle Police Chief John Diaz was present along with Don Mills of American Legion Post #1 to present the Harry Easley Award to Seattle Police Officer Britt Sweeney.
Officer Sweeney was named the 2011 Law Enforcement Officer of the Year by the Washington State American Legion. The ceremony took place at Seattle Police Headquarters.
