Stabbing in Belltown, suspect arrested

On August 31st, at approximately 11:36 pm, West Precinct officers were dispatched to a reported stabbing at 2nd Avenue and Blanchard Street.  Officers arrived and contacted a 48 year old male victim, who told officers that he had been stabbed by a “black guy in a wheelchair.”  The victim raised his shirt to show blood on his chest.  Officers immediately called for Seattle Fire, who transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center with a 4 inch puncture wound to his chest.  Officers located the suspect in the 200 Block of Bell Street.  After being advised of his rights, the suspect admitted that he had argued with the victim over money earlier and that the argument had escalated into a physical fight.  The 33 year old suspect was arrested and later booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Assault.
