3 burglars arrested in North Seattle

On 9/24/11, at approximately  1:00 p.m., 3 males were seen by a neighbor kicking in the front door of a home in the 13000 block of 35 Av NE.  (one adult male and two teenage juveniles.) One of the males wore a bandana over his face.  An officer was on scene as the call was being broadcast.

The officer found a broken rear window and held containment while back up was en route.  One of the suspects exited that window as the officer was holding on containment.  The officer confronted the suspect, who immediately ran from the officer.  The officer chased the suspect to the top of a fence and pulled the suspect down as the suspect attempted to climb over it.

The suspect punched at the officer, striking him on the face and chest.  The suspect managed to break free and run.  The officer chased after the suspect and captured him several blocks to the west of the victim residence.

Arriving patrol officers set up containment around the residence.  A rear door was found open and a kitchen window broken out.  After containment was set up, officers called out the remaining two suspects, who presented themselves after hearing that K9 was en route.

The 2 juvenile males were booked into Youth Services Center for Investigation of  Burglary and the adult suspect was booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Assault and Residential Burglary.  The assaulted officer had no injuries from being struck by the suspect.
