Traffic/pedestrian crosswalk enforcement operations
On September 30th officers of the Seattle Police Traffic Section conducted pedestrian crosswalk enforcement patrols at two locations generating 56 violations. A number of citizens stopped to thank our officers for their efforts. Citywide Crime Statistics through August are available
The citywide and precinct Major Crime statistics through August of 2011 have now been posted to the SPD website. Year-to-date, Major Crimes are down citywide by 7% when compared with the first eight months of 2010. This continues the downward crime trend that occurred citywide in 2010. Armed Robbery/Shooting on Capitol Hill
