Car/pedestrian collision investigation in North Seattle

On October 23rd, at approximately 7:30 am, a woman was attempting to back her Ford Focus into a parking stall in the 125oo Block of 28th Avenue NE.  A pedestrian was assisting the driver by flagging her into the stall.  As the car was backing, the car struck  a parked car and pinned the pedestrian against the building.

The pedestrian was treated at the scene by Seattle Fire Department Medics and then transported to Harborview Medical Center.  Officers evaluated the driver at the scene for any signs of impairment due to drugs and/or alcohol.  There were no obvious signs of impairment.

Detectives from the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad (TCIS) responded and began their investigation.  This remains an on going TCIS investigation.
