Young girl grabbed while walking to bus stop

On December 1st at approximately 5:00 p.m. the 13-year-old female victim was walking to her bus stop in the 4000 block of Wallingford Avenue North.  An unknown adult male suspect approached the victim from behind and grabbed onto her right jacket sleeve and verbally indicated that he wanted her to go with him.  The victim turned around, kicked the suspect and subsequently broke free of him and ran away.  The victim was not injured and was able to make it home safely.  The suspect remains at large (there was a significant time delay in police being notified of the incident).

The suspect is described as a white male in his 60’s, approximately 6’1″ to 6’3″ tall, heavy build, with gray hair and a gray beard.  The suspect was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, a black jacket and black pants.

Sexual Assault Unit detectives are actively investigating.
