Detectives arrest suspect in Beacon Hill robberies

Since early November 2011, a series of  street robberies have occurred in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Seattle.  The suspects were described as two Asian males and a Black male, possibly in their teens.  In the robberies, the suspects were armed with a handgun, but on occasion would use pepper spray or just knock the victim to the ground while robbing them.   All of the victims were attacked while walking on the street.

Information developed during the on going investigation led detectives to the identity of one possible suspect.  Victims were able to point out the suspect in at least three of the robberies during a photo line up.

On January 26th, Robbery detectives took a 17 year old suspect into custody in South Seattle.  He was brought back to the Robbery Unit office where he was interviewed.  He was later booked into the Youth Services Center for Investigation of Robbery.  This remains an active and on going investigation by the Robbery Unit.
