Female bank robber arrested

On February 28th at approximately 4:42 p.m., a Credit Union in the 800 block of 3rd Avenue was robbed by an unknown woman described as Hispanic or White.  A handgun was implied and a demand note was presented. Information was developed by an SPD Detective during the on-going investigation, which led to the identity of two females.

On March 9th at 6:00 p.m., a  bank in the 1300 block of 4th Avenue was robbed by the same female suspect. As in before, a handgun was implied a demand note was presented. Numerous units responded to the area, but the suspect could not be located.

A surveillance operation was set up at an Auburn, Wa. location involving Safe Streets Task Force, SPD Robbery Unit, SPD Night Gang Unit and Auburn PD. At approximately 9:15 p.m., the two female suspects were taken into custody after exiting a bus in front of 3030 M. Street in Auburn. Both were transported to the SPD Robbery Office for processing.

Suspect 1, a 43-year-old woman was booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery. Suspect 2, a 50-year-old woman was Investigated and Released.
