On 03/09/12, at approximately 10:30 a.m., the victim went to a bank in the 7500 block of MLK Jr Wy S. and withdrew some cash from the ATM. She left the ATM and was confronted by the suspect a short distance away.
The suspect knocked the victim to the ground, showed her a knife, and forcibly removed her purse. The suspect was last seen running east bound towards the Othello playground.
Several officers responded to the incident and did and extensive area search but the suspect was not located. The 47-year-old victim did not have any visible injuries and did not request medical attention.
The suspect is described as a black male teen, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a long black coat and baggy blue jeans.
