On March 15th, at approximately 8:30 am, West Precinct officers responded to a call of a collision between a bus and a pedestrian at 3rd Avenue and Pine Street. A Metro bus coach was travelling northbound on 3rd Avenue approaching Pine Street. A 51 year old female pedestrian walked off the east curb just north of the intersection and collided with the moving bus.
The pedestrian was treated at the scene by the Seattle Fire Department and transported to Harborview Medical Center with potentially life-threatening head injuries.
Detectives from the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad (TCIS) responded and conducted their investigation. This remains an active and on going investigation.
