Narcotics search warrant results in five arrested in South Seattle

On the evening of March 30th, officers from several different Anti-Crime Teams and detectives served a narcotics search warrant at a residence in the 3000 Block of South Dawson Street.  This location has been a source of community complaints for several years, with both neighbors and patrol officers noting the significant foot and vehicle traffic frequenting this house.  Detectives and officers have tried numerous times to secure a search warrant for the residence, but all of those attempts until now were unsuccessful. .  Although it had proven difficult to get inside the house, detectives and South Precinct officers kept at it.  Those efforts paid off Friday night  as officers served a signed search warrant at the house.

As officers made entry into the house they interrupted the main suspect “cooking” crack cocaine on the stove.  Five adults were taken into custody.  The warrant also led to the recovery of a large amount of cocaine, seizure of thousands of dollars,  and numerous items of drug manufacturing material.   The suspects were all arrested without incident and later booked into the King County Jail.  Officers will now work with the City, the landlord,  and the neighbors to ensure that criminal activity does not return to this particular residence.
