On 05/26/12, at 6:09 p.m., a pedestrian was walking southbound on the western most crosswalk at 5 Ave N at Broad St. As the pedestrian walked into the crosswalk, the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that was traveling westbound on Broad St.
The pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported by Seattle Fire Department Medics to Harborview Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition.
The driver was evaluated at the scene by a Drug Recognition Officer, who did not find any signs of alcohol or drug impairment. The driver was identified and released at the scene pending further investigation.
Traffic Collision Investigators gathered evidence and processed the scene. The investigation continues.
