The West Anti Crime Team (ACT) turned a street tip into something bigger, resulting in the seizure of a mid-level drug dealers cash, cocaine and car. During the course of their routine crime prevention and law enforcement duties, West ACT gleaned some street information about a dealer operating in North Seattle.
Undercover officers set up a deal to buy drugs from the this particular individual. Seeing dollar signs instead of suspecting a sting, the dealer agreed to meet the officers in Ballard. He was arrested without incident.
Officers obtained a search warrant for the dealer’s Acura. They searched it and seized 13.5 grams of flake cocaine with a street value of about $1350.00. They also seized the Acura (pictured below) and $759 in cash.
West ACT will continue their work to ensure that those who traffic cocaine and other drugs in our downtown core face significant risk of being arrested and sent to jail.
