This morning, shortly after 9:00 am, a jogger and a car collided at NE 65th Street and the Burke-Gilman Trail. The collision occurred in the crosswalk. The adult female runner sustained several fractures and a head injury, and was transported to Harborview Medical Center by Seattle Fire Department Medics.
Detectives from the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad responded and began their investigation. The driver of the car was evaluated for any signs of impairment, but none were detected. This remains an active and on-going investigation.
