Home Invasion Robbery on Capitol Hill

A 65 year old man was the victim of a home-invasion robbery that occurred in the 200 block of 19th Avenue East.  Last night at approximately 9:00 p.m. the victim, who is in a wheel chair, answered a knock on his apartment door expecting a friend.  Instead, two unknown male suspects in their 20’s forced their way in and threatened to harm the victim if he didn’t cooperate with them.  One suspect was armed with a butcher knife and wearing a ski mask. The other suspect did not appear to be armed.

The suspects stole cash and prescription drugs from the victim before fleeing.  The victim was not injured during the ordeal.

A witness observed the suspects run to a waiting vehicle parked in front of the building driven by a third male suspect.  The vehicle was described as a white full-cab pickup truck.  All three suspects fled the scene in the truck and remain at large.

There is no further suspect description available at this time.

Robbery Unit detectives responded to the scene and continue to actively investigate.

Anyone with information about this incident or who may know the identities or whereabouts of the suspects is asked to call 911 or the Seattle Police Robbery Unit at (206) 684-5535.  Anonymous tips are welcome.
