Home Invasion Robbery on Beacon Hill

A passerby found a 55 year old man tied up in his back yard, the victim of a home invasion robbery.  At approximately 11:43 a.m. the male passerby called 911 to report his findings.  Responding officers were shortly thereafter flagged down by the witness in the 8600 block of Beacon Avenue South.  Officers found the victim tied up with electrical cord, bound by his hands and legs.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the robbery occurred around 10:00 a.m when the two adult male suspects entered the victim’s residence through an unlocked back door.  The suspects confronted the victim and proceeded to tie him up.  They demanded to know where the money was.  The suspects ransacked the victim’s house and fled the scene after stealing a suitcase full of miscellaneous items.

The victim waited until he was confident the suspects had left and crawled outside into his back yard and yelled for help.  A man passing by heard him and called 911.

The suspects are described as two black males in their 50’s, both armed with handguns.

Robbery detectives responded to the scene and continue to actively investigate.
