Police have arrested the primary suspect in last weekend’s University District robbery and assault spree . Detectives developed information about a possible suspect from evidence left during the 30 minute span of violence and sent that information out to patrol officers. On Monday, October 1st, just before 6:00 pm, the 19 year old suspect was observed by a couple of officers boarding a Metro bus in West Seattle. They recognized the suspect and arrested him without incident. The suspect was then transported to the Robbery Unit office where he was interviewed by detectives.
