Seattle Police Department Statement
The Seattle Police Department strongly opposes any accommodation being provided to a charged murderer.
It is our understanding that Christopher Monfort is currently being held in isolation. He is awaiting trial for the murder of Seattle Police Officer Tim Brenton and the attempted murder of Seattle Police Officer Britt Sweeney. We disagree with the jail psychologist that Mr. Monfort needs a television. Mr. Monfort should spend less time complaining and more time reflecting on the crimes he committed.
With the third anniversary of Officer Tim Brenton’s murder fast approaching, he is missed more than ever. No TV for Christopher Monfort.
