Do you know this burglar? Police need help identifying him

Seattle Police need the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who broke into a Rite Aid early this morning.

Just before 5:00 am, a suspect used a rock to break out a front window of a Rite Aid pharmacy in the 2600 Block of Third Avenue.  The suspect then entered the building and climbed over some shelving.  He then proceeded to drop large liquor bottles outside the broken window.  Officers responding to the burglary in progress call arrived quickly and saw the suspect inside the store.  The suspect, upon seeing the arriving officers, fled back inside the store.

Additional officers arrived and containment was set up.  A K-9 team responded from home, as well as a store manager with a key.  Officers entered the store and searched for the suspect, but he was no longer inside the store.  It did appear that the suspect had cut himself in the process.  Evidence was collected at the scene and this case has been sent to Burglary detectives for follow up.

The suspect appears to be a black male, in his 30s or 40s, 5’10”, 175, wearing a dark coat and light colored pants.   In the photo he is holding a bottle of liquor.  If anyone recognizes this suspect, please contact Seattle Police.
