Brothers ages 15 and 16 arrested for burglary

Residents returned home to find two juvenile burglars leaving their residence with video games, and liquor among other things. This morning at approximately 9:30 a.m., a resident in the 2700 block of NE 137 Street gave chase and attempted to capture one of the suspects.  The suspect reportedly attempted to punch the victim, so victim struck the suspect.  The other youth fled on foot.

Officers quickly arrived on scene and took custody of the detained suspect who had been brought back to the residence.  After learning the outstanding burglar’s description, one of the responding officers reported having seen him in the 12500 block of Lake City Way.  Officers returned to the area and located him on one of the side streets.  He was positively identified by the victim.  A bag of property was recovered.  

The burglars were determined to be brothers ages 15 and 16.  Their parents were notified. Both were booked into the Youth Service Center for Investigation of Burglary.
