An early morning burglar walked into the hands of awaiting officers and was quickly arrested.
On February 16th at approximately 5:22 a.m. officers responded to a 911 call of a burglary in the 300 block of Fairview Avenue North. The location in question is the site of the old Troy Laundry facility that is going to be torn down to make way for office towers.
Responding officers quickly set up containment around the building. The 50-year-old male suspect emerged from a door apparently unaware of the officers’ presence and was promptly arrested.
Once the property manager arrived it was discovered that an alarm system had been tampered with.
This remains an active and on-going burglary investigation.
