Seattle Police working with University of Illinois at Chicago on National Survey

The University of Illinois at Chicago is conducting a national survey to measure public satisfaction with police services. Chief Diaz has volunteered the Seattle Police Department to be one of many participating agencies in this study.

This survey will be managed by outside researchers, and all responses are voluntary and confidential. The Seattle Police Department will receive only a summary of the results.

Who is being surveyed?

Victims of crimes, persons stopped for traffic violations and persons involved in traffic collisions who recently had a contact with an officer may soon be receiving a letter with instructions on how to access the survey. If you receive a letter, we hope you will participate in the survey, because your feedback will help us improve our services to you.

If you have recently had contact with a Seattle Police Officer, but do not receive a letter, you are invited to participate in an online survey:
