Three suspects being sought for West Seattle home invasion robbery

A woman was awakened by the sound of someone kicking in her front door this morning in West Seattle. Just shortly before 7:00 a.m., the victim was in her house in the 7900 block of 9th AV SW, asleep in her bedroom when she was awakened by a loud crashing noise and heard someone kicking in the front door. She started screaming as a male entered her bedroom and got on top of her. He put his hand over her mouth to quiet her down and told her to stop screaming.

The suspect demanded the victim’s car keys and purse as he struck her once in the face.  She told him where her purse and keys were. The suspect got up and took the victim’s purse and car keys and then fled the scene. The victim got up and ran out the back door and notified a neighbor who called police.

The victim stated that she thought at least two additional suspects were rummaging around the apartment. The victim and her neighbor observed three suspects leaving in her vehicle, a 2006 Chevy Malibu.

Numerous units responded to the call, but the vehicle and suspects could not be located. Seattle Fire responded and treated the victim for a bloody nose.

The Robbery Unit was requested and responded to process the scene and interview the victim and witnesses.
