Metro Bus vs. Pedestrian Collision

Detectives are attempting to identify a metro coach involved in a collision. Today just shortly after 4:00 p.m., a male pedestrian was northbound walking along the west curb line as a southbound Metro coach was proceeding south in a marked bus stop zone at 3rd Av and Pike St.

The male used his hand to pound on the bus as if to stop it to allow him entry. The bus continued south and for an unknown reason the male fell into and/or was struck by the bus, causing a significant leg injury.

Seattle Fire Department (SFD) responded and treated the 42- year- old adult male pedestrian; he was transported to HMC via Medics with a serious, but non-life threatening leg injury.

At this time, TCI detectives have not yet determined which Metro coach struck the pedestrian; the investigation continues.
