Today, just shortly after 8:00 p.m., the juvenile male suspect approached the female victim as she walked her dog in the 7600 block of Latona Av NE.
The suspect held out a knife toward the victim and made a statement that the victim felt was intended to compel her to surrender money. The victim did not give the suspect anything.
The suspect left and was seen going into a nearby residence, which turned out to be his home. As officers were setting up containment, the suspect’s mother exited the house. As officers were talking to her, the suspect exited the house.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident. He was booked into Youth Service Center for Investigation of Robbery.
