Two people shot in South Seattle

A man and woman was shot this morning in Rainier Valley.  Just shortly after 1:00 a.m., officers responded to the 7300 block of Rainier Ave S to investigate shots fired.  Officers arrived and found a female down on the ground with a gunshot wound to her leg.  There was also a male hobbling around with a gunshot wound to his foot.  Both victims gave very little information about what happened.  They were later taken to HMC for treatment of their non-life threatening injuries.

It appeared that a small green 4-door sedan pulled next to the curb, where the victims were standing, and fired 3 shots at them before leaving southbound on Rainier.  No words were exchanged and the suspects couldn’t be described.

Officers canvassed the crowd, nearby homes, and apartments, for additional incident information, but none was gathered.  Officers also rode with the victims to the hospital, hoping to gather additional info, but their efforts were fruitless.

This incident appears to be unrelated to the shots fired which occurred earlier in the evening, in the 9400 blk of Rainier Ave S.

The investigation continues.
