No Injuries, Two Cars Damaged Following Gunfire At Rainier and Kenyon

Police are investigating after passengers in two cars exchanged gunfire on a South Seattle street Tuesday afternoon.

Just after 2 pm, police received several reports of gunfire near Rainier Avenue S. and S. Kenyon Street.

Witnesses said someone in a green Chevy Impala chased several men in a white Chevy Caprice down Kenyon Street, firing at the Caprice during the pursuit.

As the cars approached Seward Park Avenue S., the driver of the Caprice pulled a u-turn, and someone in the Caprice returned fire.

Both vehicles fled before police arrived.

At the scene, officers checked the neighborhood and found that while no had been injured in the incident, two parked cars had been struck by gunfire.

Officers collected evidence at the scene and contacted the Gang Unit about the incident.
