On 9/4/13, just shortly before 11:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to a disturbance at the Seals motel on Aurora Av N. Enroute to the disturbance at the Seals; officers on-viewed a disturbance in front of the Orion motel.
The female suspect saw officers and she took off running. The female ran across the street to a business in the 12000 block of Aurora Av N. An officer gave chase and contacted the woman behind the business.
At some point the officer encountered the female in the back parking lot of the business. During that encounter a shot was fired and the female was struck once in the lower leg.
She was transported to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The officer was uninjured.
Homicide and CSI responded and processed the scene. This is all the information available at this time.
