Officers responded to numerous calls of shot fired in South Seattle. On 9/7/13, just shortly before 10:00 p.m., 9-1-1 received calls of shots fired in the 4500 block of S. Henderson St. Callers reported hearing several shots and then observed five black male teens running from the scene.
Patrol units arrived quickly in the area and stopped the group. One suspect took off running westbound on Henderson from ML King Jr Wy S. An officer pursued the suspect up the hill.
As they were running up the hill, the suspect was observed pulling out a handgun from his waistband. The officer took cover and the suspect disappeared behind some bushes.
The suspect came out within a couple of seconds with his hands up and he was taken into custody. The 18-year-old suspect is a convicted felon and was booked into King County Jail for Investigation of VUFA- Violation of the Uniform Firearms Act.
