Car v. Two Pedestrians Collision Investigation on Lower Queen Anne

Two pedestrians were sent to the hospital last night following a collision with a mini van at 2nd Avenue West and West Harrison Street.  The man and the woman had serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

Officers and Seattle Fire responded to a report of a car/pedestrian collision at that location last night at about 7:40 pm.  A Toyota mini van was headed westbound on West Harrison.  The pedestrians were walking southbound on the west side of 2nd Avenue West when they attempted to cross West Harrison.  As they were crossing, they were struck by the Toyota.  Seattle Fire transported the two pedestrians to Harborview Medical Center.  The woman driving the van was not injured.  A Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) responded and evaluated the driver, but no signs of impairment were detected.  Detectives from the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad (TCIS) responded and processed the scene.  TCIS will continue to handle the follow up investigation.
