A Woman and Two Men Assaulted & Robbed by Group of Suspects in Belltown

A group of male suspects remain at large after assaulting and robbing one woman and two men early this morning.

On January 18th at approximately 2:18 a.m. officers responded to 1st Avenue and Bell Street for the report of an assault and robbery. Preliminary investigation indicates that a man and two women were traveling northbound on 1st Avenue in their vehicle when they noticed a group of 6 to 10 suspects assaulting an unknown male on the sidewalk. One of the females in the car yelled at the suspects to stop and exited the car to intervene.

The suspects turned on the woman and attacked her. Her male companion then exited the vehicle to assist her.

The suspects then assaulted the male victim, knocking him to the ground. Once on the ground the suspects continued to kick and stomp the male’s head after he was clearly knocked unconscious.

One of the suspects removed the victim’s wallet from his pants and the suspects then fled the scene.

All of the victims were transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of their non-life threatening injuries.

The only suspect information available at this time is 6 to 10 black males in their 20’s. They remain at large.

Anyone with information about this incident or who may know the identities or whereabouts of any of the involved suspects is asked to call 911 or Seattle Police and refer to this incident.

Anonymous tips are welcome.

This remains an active and on-going investigation.
