Homicide detectives have arrested a 42-year-old man in connection with the death of a woman found on the railroad tracks in SoDo in July 2013.
On July 2nd, police received a 911 call from a train engineer after he found the woman’s body near 5th Avenue S. and S. Spokane Street.
Officers arrived, found the woman had sustained significant head injuries, and called for homicide detectives.
Detectives obtained DNA from the 42-year-old man—who was previously in a relationship with the victim—during their investigation and sent it to the Washington State Crime Lab.
After receiving a DNA match in the case, police arrested the 42-year-old man Wednesday, April 2nd near 10th Ave S. and S. Weller Street and booked him into the King County Jail for investigation of homicide.
