Neighbor Helps Officers Catch Burglars on Beacon Hill

Police have arrested three men involved in a burglary after an attentive neighbor called 911 to report suspicious activity.

Around 1:30 PM on Friday afternoon, the witness observed two young men checking windows and knocking on the front door of a neighbor’s home. The two burglars entered the home wearing latex gloves and were seen shortly thereafter fleeing the home with a full duffle bag. Our timely observer gave police a description of the waiting getaway car the two burglars jumped into.

Officers surrounded the area and located the suspect vehicle as it fled the 3000 block of South Willow Street. The two burglars, both 17-years-old, were arrested as well as the 23-year-old getaway driver.

Officers returned the stolen property to the victim and the suspect vehicle was impounded for further evidence collection.

Both 17-year-olds were booked into King County’s Youth Service Center on investigation of burglary and the 23-year-old suspect has been booked into King County Jail for investigation of possession of stolen property.
